Prayer

Oh, You, most good, most generous, Lord Jesus Christ!

Every good thing comes from You and through You, from the treasure of Your eternal, imperishable wealth; You give to each his own according to Your will.

Do not allow me to become equal to the devil through harmful envy.

Pour into my heart Your goodness, Your love, Your faithfulness, so that I heartily rejoice in Your gifts, which You, out of generous goodness, share among us, and Your mercy over us; so that we do not burden each other with envy, lies, blasphemy and slander, but so that we use all that You have given us for Your praise, honor and glory, and recognize You in Yours good deeds and praised, honored and glorified throughout eternity.
