Prayer to the Lord for the salvation of Russia1

Lord Jesus Christ, our God, accept from us, Your unworthy servants, this fervent prayer and, having forgiven us all our sins, remember all our enemies, those who hate and offend us, and do not repay them according to their deeds, but, according to Your great mercy, convert them: infidels to orthodoxy and piety, for not one of them will perish for our sake, the unworthy; the faithful will turn away from evil and do good.

Mercifully deliver us all and Your Holy Church by Your omnipotent fortress from every evil situation, and the Russian country from fierce enemies and the power of their freedom. Your faithful servants, in sorrow and sorrow, cry out to You day and night; hear the pained cry, our much-merciful God, and bring them out of decay. Grant peace and silence, love, affirmation, and speedy reconciliation to Your people, whom You redeemed with Your Honest Blood.

But it will be revealed to those who have departed from You, and to those who do not seek You, that not one of them will perish, but that all will be saved and come into the understanding of the truth: that all may be glorified in unanimity and unceasing love. Thy most honorable name, patient-hearted, kindly, Lord, forever and ever. Amen.

May all the peoples inhabiting it be united into one family, You, the Heavenly Father, confessing with one mind, organizing their entire lives with one accord in faith, may there be one flock and one Shepherd, may there be daily and spiritual bread for everyone without taking away. Prayer to the Lord for the Fatherland. Nicholas (Mogilevsky), Metropolitan of Alma-Ata2

Lord God, our Savior! We fall to You with a contrite heart and confess our sins and iniquities, which are the irritation of Your kindness and the refuge of Your generosity. For this reason, Your righteous judgment has come upon us, Lord: strife and disorder have come upon us, murder and bloodshed, enmity and malice have multiplied to the extreme.

But, Most Merciful Lord, look down from Thy Holy heights on the tearful prayers of Thy poor and sorrowful people, turn Thy wrath into mercy and give us help from sorrow. We know that from the years of ancient times in times of temptation our country was saved from destruction only by the faith of Christ, only by prayer and tears of repentance from the wiles and snares of the enemy getting rid of it.

For this reason, in the tenderness of our hearts, we cry out to You: protect our Fatherland even now from the enemies who are destroying it, ignite in our hearts love for Your Holy Church and teach us to stand strong, even to death, for Thy holy faith and for the glory of Thy Holy Name, and thus establish and glorify Thy Church with Thy omnipotent strength and from Deliver from every evil situation.

For those who have crucified You, O Lord, and for Your servants to pray for each one, You commanded to pray for those who hate and offend us, do not repay them, O Lord, according to their deeds and wickedness their undertakings do not know what they are doing, but instruct them to live brotherly and virtuously, so that they may turn to You, their Master, and together with the sons of Your Church, glorify You alone in To the Trinity glorified God forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for the agreement to save Russia

Lord our God, Jesus Christ, with Your most pure lips You told us: “If two of you agree on earth to ask for anything, then whatever they ask will be done for them by My Heavenly Father.”

With deep faith in the immutability of Your words and Your immeasurable mercy, we ask You to hear all of Your praying servants, who have agreed to humbly ask You for the increase of love and the eradication of all evil and hatred in Russia, for the salvation and well-being of our country, for the faith and wisdom of Russian rulers and their love for their people.

However, not as we want, but as You, Lord; May Your holy will be done for everything. Amen.

Repentant prayer to the Lord in days of unrest

Lord, God Almighty, look upon us, Your sinful and unworthy children, who have sinned before You, who have angered Your goodness, who have brought Your righteous wrath upon us who have fallen in depth of sin.

You see, Lord, weakness and spiritual sorrow, weigh the corruption of our minds and hearts, the impoverishment of faith, the departure from Your commandments, the multiplication of family disorders, disunity and strife in the church, You see our sorrows and sorrows from illnesses, famines and civil strife that occur.

But, Most Merciful and Humane-loving Lord, give understanding, instruct and have mercy on us, the unworthy. Correct our sinful life, quench discord and discord, gather the scattered, unite the scattered, give peace to our country and deliver it from grave troubles and misfortunes.

All-Holy Master, enlighten our minds with the light of the teachings of the Gospel, warm our hearts with the warmth of Your grace and direct me to the practice of Your commandments, so that He may be glorified in us Your all-holy and glorious name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Saint Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow3

Oh, our good shepherd, great holy Patriarch Tikhon, as if you were a city on high, your good deeds still shine before men. We, like you, stand before the throne of the Most Holy Trinity, with great boldness in prayers before the Lord.

Look now at us, sinners and unworthy of your children, to you, for you who have great boldness before the Creator of all things, now we fall down and earnestly pray: pray to the Lord, that He will give us determination to acquire the piety of our fathers, which you have acquired from your youth.

In your life you were a zealous protector and guardian of the true faith, and help us to unshakably observe the Orthodox faith. Your quiet soul has greatly succeeded in divine humility, teach us to nourish our minds not with the turbulent human wisdom, but with the humble knowledge of the will of God. In the face of the fierce enemies of Christ, you boldly confessed the True God; with your prayer, strengthen us, the faint-hearted, so that we, too, will always and everywhere resist the spirit of godlessness and flattery.

Hey, saint of God, do not despise us who pray to you (names), for we ask not only for deliverance from troubles and sorrows, but for strength and firmness, generosity and love, in order to endure these misfortunes, rising up against us. Ask us for unflagging patience even until the end of our lives, peace with the Lord and remission of sins.

Holy Father! Tame the winds of unbelief and unrest in our country, may the Lord establish silence and piety and unhypocritical love on the Russian land. With your prayers may he preserve us from internecine warfare, may he strengthen our Holy Orthodox Church, may it not become depleted of true shepherds, good workers, those who rightly rule the word Gospel truth. God bless the lost sheep of Christ’s flock.

Most of all, pray to the Lord for strength, so that the Russian land will be reborn with holy repentance, and with one heart and one mouth glorify Divnago in His saints, God in the Trinity, glorifying God, the Father and Son and Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia

Holy New Martyrs and Confessor of the Russian Church, hear our earnest prayer! We, as children from you, even though we were still young, listened to the passion-bearers of old, and thought in our hearts how kindly and praiseworthy it is to imitate such torment and death will not separate you from the love of God.

Well done to you, for you have followed the nature of the faith and patience of those whom you have heard of and loved. And since at any time we may be faced with an unexpected test, ask the Lord for the gift of courage that we need in living as a human being.

Having sanctified all the ends of our fatherland through your suffering, as prayer books are common to all of us, pray to God to deliver His people from the yoke, more terrible than any other. May the schisms in our Church be abolished, may they all be united, and may the Lord bring His workers to the harvest, may the Church not become destitute of good shepherds who have the power to enlighten By the light of the true faith there are so many people who have not been taught the faith or have turned away from the faith.

You are unworthy of God’s mercy, even if you suffer for your sake, may Christ our God be merciful and have mercy on all of us who call for your help. Let us always offer to Him, our Savior with the Father and the Holy Spirit, contrition for sins and thanksgiving for everything, glorifying Him forever and ever. Amen.
