Glory to Thee, Lord, our Father, the all-wise Tester of my love for Thee and for my neighbor. Do not leave me without temptations - if Thy wisdom and righteousness are acceptable and beneficial - not a single day of my life; may it be planted, may it be established, may my love for You and for my neighbor be purified and exalted, and may I not appear at Your judgment empty before Your Face.
Unless the Lord builds a house, the builders labor in vain; unless the Lord preserves the city, it will build in vain. It is in vain for you to wake up: you will rise up when you are gray, eating the bread of sickness, when you have given sleep to your loved ones. Behold, the heritage of the Lord is the son, the reward of the fruit of the womb. Like arrows in the arm of a strong man, so the sons of the shaken. Blessed is he who gets his desire from them: they will not be ashamed when they speak against their enemies in the gates.
