Troparion, tone 1

We have been inflamed with divine love from our youth, O Reverend Paul, / having hated everything that is red in the world, / you have loved Christ alone / and for this reason you have moved into the inner desert thou art,/ all of Christ may live with the beasts./ Otonus and the All-Seeing Eye, having seen thy labors,/ have enriched thee with the gift of miracles, and upon repose./ Moreover, we cry unto thee:/ pray unceasingly for all of us,// Your honest memory is ever present in the songs of those who honor it.

Kontakion, tone 8

All your mental desires were directed towards God, / and You followed Him irrevocably from the heart, settled in the desert, / and, having lived there like an angel, for many you were on the path to salvation. / For this sake, Christ glorify you and enrich you with the gift of miracles. / Meanwhile we all cry out to you: Rejoice, O Reverend Paul, desert dweller.

Prayer

O our good shepherd and God-wise mentor, like Father Paul! Hear us, sinners, praying to you and calling for your speedy intercession for help, see us, sinners, in the midst of existing situations, see us, weak, caught from everywhere, everyone the blessings of those deprived and our minds darkened by cowardice, strive, O saint of God, do not leave us in sinful captivity to be, so that we may not joyfully be our enemies and may not die in evil deeds ours. Pray for us, the unworthy, our Creator and Master, to Him you stand with the Incorporeal Faces. Make our God merciful to us in this world and in the future, so that He will not reward us according to our deeds and the impurity of our hearts, but rather reward us according to His goodness, trusting in your intercession, We boast of your intercession, we call upon your intercession for help and, falling to your holy tomb, we ask for healing: deliver us, servant of Christ, from the evil ones who come against us, and tame us waves of passions and troubles rising upon us, so that for the sake of your holy prayers they will not attack us and we will not sink into the abyss of sins and in the mire of our passions. Pray, like Father Paul, to Christ our God, that He may grant us a peaceful life, forgiveness of sins, salvation and great mercy for our souls. Amen.
