TO THE HOLY CLERGY, THE PRESIDENTS AND MEMBERS OF THE GREEK ORTHODOX COMMUNITY COUNCILS, THE CHARITABLE BROTHERHOODS, THE MASTERS OF THE Ecumenical Patriarchate, THE MONASTIC BROTHERHOODS, THE MEMBERS OF OF THE ARCHBISHOP COUNCIL, THE TEACHERS OF THE GREEK SCHOOLS, THE VOLUNTEERS AND ASSOCIATES OF THE CHURCH AND CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS AND ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE HOLY ARCHDIOCESE OF CANADA
"Let all be one" (John 17:21) My dear fathers, brothers and children in the Lord,
With feelings of deep emotion, praise and gratitude to the Triune God, I address to all of you my first fatherly message, in anticipation of my arrival in blessed Canada and my official enthronement on September 19.
Our Lord's high-priestly prayer, "May all be ἓν ὦσι", is for me not only an evangelical exhortation, but also the foundation of our common path. The Church is the Body of Christ and all of us, clergy and laity, monks and family heads, young and old, are called to minister the same Gospel of love, unity and sacrificial offering.
