💭 Thought for the Day
“He who is not with Me is against Me; and whoever does not gather with Me scatters” (Matthew 12:30). Who is with the Lord? He who lives and acts in His spirit; who does not allow himself any thoughts, no feelings, no desires, no intentions, no words, no deeds that would be displeasing to the Lord and contrary to His explicit commandments and definitions. Whoever lives and acts differently is not with the Lord, and therefore does not collect, but scatters. What is he wasting? Not only energy and time, but also what he collects. Wealth, for example, is not collected with the Lord by the one who accumulates only it, without sharing it with others and depriving himself of even what he needs, or who, while collecting it, spends part of it on the luxurious maintenance of himself, partly spends it on vain sacrifices, and leaves part of it to his heirs. He will appear in the next world with nothing - and there he will be the poorest of the poor. On the contrary, he gathers wealth with the Lord who, through the hands of the poor and needy, transfers what he has collected into eternal treasuries. When such a person dies, he will find everything in the next world preserved, unsquandered, even if he had wasted his entire life. The same applies to the collection of knowledge. Here the waste is even more obvious, because even here it becomes obvious how the philosophizing person does not collect as if mountains of knowledge about the Lord, but, meanwhile, they are all rubbish, a ghost of truth, and not the truth. Such people not only lack knowledge, but also lose human meaning. They begin to rave, as if sleepy. Read the systems of materialists and you will see that this is so.
