His Grace Bishop Andrei Officiates the Paraklesis to the Mother of God at Holy Archangels Parish in Apopka, Florida

APOPKA, FL – August 3, 2026 – With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland traveled to Apopka, Florida, on Monday, August 3, 2026, where he visited the Romanian Orthodox Parish of Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel and officiated the Paraklesis to the Most Holy Theotokos during the Dormition Fast.

Assisting His Grace at the service were the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Gheorghe Mădălin Neagu, and Rev. Hdn. Benedict Oancea.

In his homily, His Grace reflected on the loving care and intercession of the Mother of God, reminding the faithful that every person needs a mother and that the Most Holy Theotokos is always present to comfort, protect, and intercede for all who turn to her with faith and prayer. He encouraged everyone to draw closer to Christ through the prayers of His Most Pure Mother, especially during the blessed days of the Dormition Fast.

Following the service, the parish community hosted an agape meal, offering the faithful an opportunity to spend time with His Grace, receive his blessing, and enjoy fellowship together.
