Bishop Vrisvanis at the celebratory Parish of Agios Stefanos Home Hilltranslated

The Most Reverend Bishop of Vrisvanis, Mr. Bartholomeos, officiated at Orthros and presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church of St. Stephen, in the town of Home Hill, North Queensland, on the feast of the Recollection of the Holy Relics of St. Protomartyr and Archdeacon Stephen.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness performed a Holy Memorial Mass for the repose of the soul of the blessed Protopresbyter Fr. Michael Apostolopoulos.
Blessed Fr Michael served for many years with faith and devotion at St Stephen's Church in Home Hill, before later ministering at St Euphemia's Church in Sydney. Therefore, it was fitting that his memory be honored in the Parish where he first ministered with so much devotion, humility and love.
During his sermon, His Holiness referred to the life and testimony of Saint Stephen, underlining his unwavering courage to preach the truth of Christ, even when he was faced with persecution and death.
