Metropolitan John: Faith is proven especially in times of trialtranslated

His Eminence Father Ioan, Metropolitan of Banat, spoke on Sunday at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Timișoara. His Eminence emphasized: "The greater the faith, the greater the trial may be, but after a great trial comes a great reward."

Metropolitan John showed that listening to the word of God does not protect a person from trials, but brings him the help of Christ in the midst of them: "Let us put our hope in the Holy Trinity all the days of life, but especially in trials."

The Metropolitan of Banat explained that prayer and gratitude must accompany the life of the Christian, recalling that the Savior retired to the mountain to pray after the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves.

"How many of us retire, at the end of the day, in front of a holy icon, in order to thank Him for all the gifts we have received?", His Holiness Father John asked the faithful.
