The Little Petition to Aeganitranslated

Yesterday, Monday, August 3, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos, Mr. Ieronymos, went to the Holy Church of Genesis of the Theotokos Aeganis, in order to preside at Vespers and then perform the Little Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos. Aegani, a village near the border with the Prefecture of Pieria, is distinguished by the piety of its inhabitants, which is reflected in the well-kept Chapels that exist in the village, as well as in their participation in Holy Masses.

In his sermon, His Holiness referred to the life of the Holy Seven Children of Ephesus, whose story is preserved as a model and symbol of the common resurrection of all of us, as proof of divine omnipotence, but also as an occasion to discuss the priorities in our lives.
