The Metropolitans of Proikonnisos and Ioannina at the celebratory Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi Metsovotranslated

The Great Solemn Vespers on the feast of Saint Osioparthenomartyr Paraskevi of Athliphoros was celebrated with all splendor in the solemn Church of the historic city of Metsovo on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The Solemn Vespers was officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Proikonnisos, Mr. Iosif, co-celebrant of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Ioannina, Mr. Maximos.

The Holy Procession was attended by the Regional Governor of Epirus, as well as the local political, military and other authorities of the place, while a multitude of devout believers flooded the Holy Church to honor the great Saint of our Church.

After the dismissal of the Vespers, the procession of the old historical icon of Agia Paraskevi took place around the Holy Church, in an atmosphere of ecstasy and reverence. Then, in the forecourt of the Temple, the baking was done.
