Cyril of Ierapytnis: Saint Panteleimon is a living example of true faithtranslated

On Monday, July 27, 2026, the sacred memory of the Holy Glorious Great Martyr of Panteleimon the Healer was celebrated with due splendor in the eponymous Holy Parish Church of Hamezio, Sitias. The ceremony was presided over by Rev. Metropolitan of Ierapytni and Sitia Mr. Kyrillos, who officiated at the procession of Orthros, blessed the offered breads and then officiated and preached the divine word appropriately.

In his eloquent speech, His Holiness referred to the evangelical command "this I command you, that you love one another" from the Gospel according to John, as well as to the personality of the celebrated saint, underlining that he has the title of Anargyros Iatro, because he offered his medical services selflessly and without compensation to those in need.
