Thursdays in Black ambassadors convene to re-engage global activities

Thursdays in Black ambassadors met on 3 August, re-engaging their global network and reviewing a 12-month activity framework covering theological, advocacy, creative, and institutional themes.

Ambassadors contributed ideas around social media strategy, storytelling, parallel campaigns, and the 16 Days Against Gender-Based Violence. The ambassadors also established a steering group for November–December programming.
From exhibiting the World Council of Churches (WCC) Waterfall of Solidarity and Resistance tapestry, to announcing Thursdays in Black at book fairs, to collaborating with each other, the ambassadors exchanged ideas and inspiration.
Thursdays in Black ambassadors play a vital role in increasing the impact of the collective call for a world without rape and violence. By standing together from many sectors and many countries, Thursdays in Black ambassadors convey solidarity against violence and injustice.
