From July 17 to 19, with the blessing of Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, the Summer Gathering of Orthodox Youth of the Belarusian Orthodox Church took place in the Nesvizh Deanery of the Slutsk Diocese.

The event was organized by the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Belarusian Exarchate and the Slutsk Diocese.

More than 150 representatives from the dioceses of Belarus, as well as young people from Russia and Estonia took part in the gathering. From the Lida diocese, the head of the department for youth affairs, Priest Alexander Deshuk, and representatives of the youth of the diocese took part in the event.

The opening of the meeting began with a prayer service in the Ascension Church in Nesvizh, which was led by the acting chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church, Hieromonk Filaret (Zubov). As a sign of gratitude for the attention to youth ministry in the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Belarusian Exarchate, Priest Dimitry Bovkunovich, presented Hieromonk Philaret with the “Zhirovichi” icon of the Mother of God.
