The church of the "St. Pantelimon" Hermitage on Transfăgărășan was consecratedtranslated

Archbishop Calinic of Argeș and Muscel and Bishop Siluan of Hungary celebrated Holy Liturgy on Monday, at the Hermitage "St. Pantelimon" on Transfăgărășan. The service was preceded by the Consecration of the church of the monastic settlement, officiated by Father Bishop Siluan.

"Saint Pantoleon, as he was called from birth, the one with a lot of power in everything, like a lion, through this new Christian teaching and through the gift that God gave him abundantly, managed to heal people more than through medical science", said Father Archbishop Calinic in the teaching speech.

"There are several of these silverless doctors in our calendars, and St. Pantelimon stands out in particular."

On this occasion, His Eminence also expressed his appreciation for "today's doctors, who devote their lives to learning and continuing many of the things that our wise forefathers left in the field of medicine."

At the end of the Holy Liturgy, His Holiness Father Calinic presented distinctions to the main benefactors of the monastic establishment.
