On August 1, on the day of the discovery of the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the miracle worker, the celebration in honor of the icon of the Mother of God called “Tenderness” or “Joy of all joys,” Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky performed a Divine Turgy in the church in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov b. Kuzovatovo village.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were the rector of the church, Archpriest Sergius Aristov, the head of the protocol service of the Simbirsk diocesan administration, Priest Valery Stavrovsky, Priest Alexander Mayorov, Deacon John Kosyakov, and Deacon Grigory Shevchenko.
