The George Enescu 2026 International Competition will offer the public almost a month of free eventstranslated

The George Enescu 2026 International Competition, which will take place in Bucharest from August 23 to September 19, will include almost a month of events with free access for the public, according to the organizers.
The competition will be held under the banner "In search of excellence", during which masterclasses, rehearsals with the public and concerts will take place.
The program will take place at the Radio Hall, the Romanian University and the National University of Music in Bucharest and will bring together established artists and young musicians.
The series of events with free access will start on August 24 with the international conducting Masterclass held by Cristian Măcelaru, the artistic director of the George Enescu International Competition. The program, organized until August 28 at Sala Radio, will bring together six selected young conductors and the Romanian Youth Orchestra.
The public will be able to attend both the orchestra's rehearsals and the work sessions led by Cristian Măcelaru, having the opportunity to watch how a musical performance is constructed and the relationship between the conductor and the ensemble.
After the end of the masterclasses, the public will be able to watch the preliminary stages of the competition for free.…
