Theophilos of Jerusalem: Prophet Elijah's message is not only topical, but also interfaithtranslated

According to the order of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the feast of the Holy Glorious Prophet Helios of Thesvitos was celebrated in the ancient Holy Monastery named after him which is located between Bethlehem and Jerusalem.  The solemn Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Patriarch of Jerusalem His Excellency. Theophilos, flanked by Agiotaphite High Priests and fathers.

During his sermon, the Primate of the Zionist Church referred to the personality of the Prophet Elias as well as his mission in the plan of the Divine Economy.

Also, during his speech at the Holy Table, His Beatitude underlined that the message of the Elias thespian is not only topical, because it is addressed to the modern age of lawlessness and impiety; but also interreligious, given that the prophetic personality of Elias occupies a central position in the traditions and traditions of other religions.

It is interesting that Patriarch Theophilus spoke so directly about the interreligious dimension of the prophet Elijah. In our class, the children also asked why he is revered both in Islam and in Judaism. It is good that they were reminded about this on Memorial Day, and not just passed the service.
