The Metropolitan of Kilkisios in the Skete of Agia Anna of Mount Athostranslated

Following the invitation of the Holy Monastery of the Great Lavra and the relative permission and blessing of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Polyani and Kilkisi Mr. Bartholomew went today, Thursday, August 6, 2026, to Mount Athos and specifically to the Sunday Mass of the Skete of Agia Anna for the feast of the protheomother Agia Anna.

The reception of His Excellency, who is accompanied by the Chancellor of the University, took place as usual. Chief Fr. Agios Nektarios Spanos Kilkis, the Mayor of Kilkis Mr. Dimitrios Kyriakidis, the Deputy Mayor of Culture of the Municipality of Kilkis Mr. Themistoklis Kosmidis and the Director of the Special Office of Mr. Diogenes Bourella.

His Eminence will lead the Holy Masses in the magnificent Church of Kyriakos of Skete with the participation of the Fathers of Mount Athos and devout pilgrims who came to the orchard of the Virgin Mary to honor Saint Anna.
