I.M. Kalavryton: Protopresbyter Solon Giannakopoulos has fallen asleeptranslated

After much sorrow, the Holy Metropolis of Kalavryton and Aegialia informs the Christ-named crew that on Friday, July 24th, Protopresbyter Solon Giannakopoulos, Retired Vicar of the Holy Church of Agios Georgios Dehunios Kalavryton, passed away to the Lord, at the age of 94. Blessed Father Solon was born in 1932 in the Local Community of Pau, Municipality of Kalavryta. He was a married Clergyman and the father of three children. He was ordained Deacon on September 1, 1993 and Elder on January 30, 1994, under the Reverend Metropolitan of Kalavryton and Aegialia, Mr. Ambrosiou. He was distinguished for his humble priestly ministry in whatever Church he was assigned to serve. The deceased was strongly characterized by his profound faith in God and his devotion to our Holy Church.

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, the Exodious Mass was chanted at the Holy Church of Agioi Theodoros Pau, Municipality of Kalavryta, and then the burial followed in the Cemetery of the village in question.
