Distribution of love packages to vulnerable families from the Holy Metropolis of Didymoteichotranslated

In view of the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, in the presence of the Venerable Metropolitan of Didymoteicho, Orestiada and Soufli Mr. Damaskinos, two hundred (200) parcels of food aid were distributed today, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Didymoteicho and Orestiada to families with many children, single parents and financially vulnerable families. This important initiative was implemented thanks to the cooperation of the Holy Metropolis of Didymoteicho, Orestias and Soufli with the Charity Organization "APOSTOLI" of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens with the supermarket chain "MASOUTIS", which offered 150 parcels, as well as the social contribution company of the Greek shipping company "SYN-ENOSIS", which offered another 50 parcels.

In a period in which many families are tested by financial difficulties, this offering essentially contributes to the coverage of basic living needs, while at the same time it is a practical expression of the love, solidarity and constant care of the Church and the donors towards fellow human beings in need.
