Fthiotidos Simeon at the Training Center for New Collectors at KEYP Lamiatranslated

The Reverend Metropolitan Fthiotidos Mr. Simeon was once again close to the conscripted youth at the Training Center for Recruits at KEYP Lamia in order to develop a spiritual and catechetical speech to the newly recruited hoplites and hoplites, who in fact constitute the first rank of women in the Greek Army. The Most Reverend Metropolitan Fthiotidos Mr. Simeon, who due to his illness could not be near the Center neither during the first days of the enlistment of the newly recruited men and women nor during their swearing-in, but on July 31, 2026 he gave his customary catechetical speech on the subject: "The Great General, the Saints of our Church and the women of today in Armed Forces"

The Reverend Mr. Simeon was welcomed with respect and love by the Commander of the KEYP Colonel YP Christos Athanatos, as well as all the staff of the Center, expressing their joy for the presence of the Reverend in the camp, wishing health, strength and a long life in his great work.

Хорошо, что владыка Симеон всё-таки приехал, несмотря на болезнь. Тема интересная — про Пресвятую Богородицу как Заступницу и про первых девушек в греческой армии. Интересно, как они сами отреагировали на такую беседу.
