At the Holy Transfiguration Monastery Sotiros Rapsanis the Metropolitan of Larissatranslated

On the evening of Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos, Mr. Ieronymos, went to the Holy Transfiguration Monastery of Sotiros Rapsanis, in order to officiate at the Solemn Vespers of the Feast of the Transfiguration in the celebrating Holy Monastery. His Eminence was welcomed at the entrance of the Holy Monastery by the Patience Nun Patience, together with the Nun Irenaia, as well as Clerics from Tyrnavos, Giannouli, Omolio and Vryotopos. The hymns were performed in a unique way by the choir of the Faculty of Music, Mr. Georgios Karagiannakis, while a large number of people attended.

In his sermon, His Holiness emphasized that the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior is not just the manifestation of Divine Glory, but the delivery of Divine Glory to human nature. Christ captures the Transfiguration in his human nature, proof that now humanity not only recognizes the Divine Glory, but can also participate in it. The perspective of our life now is to share in this Uncreated Light of Divine Glory, whose radiance may we all claim as a blessing in our spiritual struggle.
