Call of the Romanian Patriarchate to support the citizens in the middle of the heattranslated

An appeal to all Metropolises and Dioceses to help the citizens who are being tested by the extremely high temperatures is addressed by the Romanian Patriarchate, calling on the parishes and monasteries to undertake specific initiatives of solidarity. According to the announcement, church communities are encouraged to offer water to those in need and to provide shaded and cool spaces so that citizens affected by the heat can rest for a short period of time. At the same time, ecclesiastical bodies that have medical or social services are called upon to provide assistance "to the best of their ability".
Special mention is made of the areas facing intense drought and prolonged high temperatures. In the temples and, where this is possible, in the fields, the special wishes will be relayed "in a time of no rain", with the request to God, Who "gives rain on the earth and sends water to the fields" (Job 5,10), to bestow what is beneficial for man and the whole creation.
