Educational meetings at the Nizhneturinsk gymnasium on the Day of the Baptism of Rus'translated
On July 28 and 29, educational meetings were held at the Nizhneturinsk gymnasium dedicated to the Day of the Baptism of Rus' and the day of remembrance of St. Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir.
The guests of the educational institution were the rector of the Church of the Three Saints of the city of Nizhnyaya Tura, Priest Sergius Klivekin and the director of the Sunday school, Natalya Aleksandrovna Korobeinikova. During the meetings, they gave students a powerful presentation about the life and historical significance of Prince Vladimir, and also talked about the impact the Baptism of Rus had on the spiritual and cultural life of our people.
The events were organized for two age groups: students in grades 1–4 and students in grades 8–9. The format for presenting the material was adapted taking into account the age of the listeners. For younger schoolchildren, special attention was paid to visual images and simple, accessible explanations to make the topic relatable and understandable. The deeper historical and moral aspects of the Baptism of Rus' were discussed with high school students, including the significance of this event for the formation of spiritual traditions and national identity.
After the presentation, lively dialogues took place: the guys actively asked questions, shared their thoughts and showed sincere interest...
