The patronal feast of the Church of the Cathedral of the Twelve Apostles was celebrated in Luzhaikatranslated

On July 13, on the day of the celebration of the Council of the glorious and all-validated twelve apostles of Christ, a patronal celebration took place in the church of the same name in the village of Luzhaika.

The Divine Liturgy was led by the secretary of the Vyborg diocese, dean of the Vyborg district, Archpriest Igor Aksyonov. Concelebrating with him was the rector of the temple, Priest Artemy Giloyan.

At the end of the Liturgy, the clergy and parishioners made a festive religious procession. Then Father Igor addressed those gathered with a pastoral word.

Hannah CollinsNice to see Fr Igor Aksyonov leading the Liturgy again. The cross procession must have been lovely in the summer weather. Did many people from the surrounding villages come?

Daniel MillerYes, Fr Igor served well as usual. The cross procession was especially nice with the sun out and wildflowers all along the path. A fair number came from the nearby villages — I recognized at least a dozen from the last deanery meeting. Did you manage to make it up this year?

Emma ParkerThe cross procession did look lovely this year with all those wildflowers. I couldn't make it up from Pittsburgh, but my younger daughter drove over from the city and said the same thing about the turnout from the villages. Did Fr. Artemiy speak at all after the procession?
