About simony: the ejection and excommunication of clergy who were appointed and placed in the priesthood under the pressure of secular authorities.
If a bishop, having resorted to worldly rulers, with their help achieves power over the Church, let him be deposed and excommunicated, as well as all those in communion with him.

Εἴ τις ἐπίσκοπος κοσμικοῖς ἄρχουσι χρησάμενος, δι᾿ αὐτῶν ἐγκρατὴς ἐκκλησίας γένοιτο, καθαιρείσθω, καὶ ἀφοριζέσθω· καὶ οἱ κοινωνοῦντες αὐτῷ πάντες.
