About the ejection of clergy who do not accept the repentance of converted sinners.
If a bishop or presbyter does not accept one who is converted from sin, but rejects him, let him be cast out, for he grieves Christ, who said: There is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents (see Matt. 18:13; see Luke 15:7).

Εἴ τις ἐπίσκοπος ἢ πρεσβύτερος, τὸν ἐπιστρέφοντα ἀπὸ ἁμαρτίας οὐ προσδέχεται, ἀλλ᾿ ἀποβάλλεται, καθαιρείσθω· ὅτι λυπεῖ Χριστόν, τὸν εἰπόντα· Χαρὰ γίνεται ἐν οὐρανῷ ἐπὶ ἑνὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ μετανοοῦντι.
