About the need to return the church property sold by the elders of the dowager see or the money for it.
About things belonging to the church (τῷ Κυριακῷ). What the elders sold in the absence of the bishop should be returned to the church (τό Κυριακόν). However, the bishop is given the right to judge whether the value of the item should be returned to those who bought it or not, because often the income from the items sold has already brought more to the buyers than the item was worth.

Περὶ τῶν διαφερόντων τῷ Κυριακῷ, ὅσα ἐπισκόπου μὴ ὄντος πρεσβύτεροι ἐπώλησαν, ἀνακαλεῖσθαι τὸ Κυριακόν. Ἐν δὲ τῇ κρίσει τοῦ ἐπισκόπου εἶναι, εἴπερ προσήκει ἀπολαβεῖν τὴν τιμήν, εἴτε καὶ μή, διὰ τὸ πολλάκις τὴν πρόσοδον τῶν πεπραγμένων ἀποδεδωκέναι αὐτοῖς τούτοις πλείονα τὴν τιμήν.
