Against the heresy of Pelagius. Anathema to those who claim that Divine grace is effective only for the remission of committed sins, but does not provide help beyond that.
It was pleasing: anyone who says that the grace of God, by which one is justified through Jesus Christ our Lord, has power only for the remission of sins already committed and does not, in addition, provide help in not sinning in another, let him be anathema.

Ὁμοίως ἤρεσεν, ἵνα, ὁστισδήποτε εἴποι τὴν χάριν τοῦ Θεοῦ, ᾗ τινι δικαιοῦται διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν, πρὸς μόνην ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν ἰσχύειν τῶν ἤδη πεπλημμελημένων, καὶ μὴ παρέχει ἔτι μὴν βοήθειαν πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἕτερα πλημμελεῖσθαι, ἀνάθεμα εἴη.[1]
