Against the heresy of Pelagius. Anathema to those who claim that grace does not give us love and strength to do good.
It was pleasing: anyone who says that the same grace of God, which is given to us through Jesus Christ our Lord, helps us only in not sinning, because through it the knowledge of sins is revealed and revealed to us, so that we know what we should strive for and what to shy away from, but besides this, through it we are not given love and strength to do what we know we should do - let him be anathema. After all, when the apostle says that knowledge puffs up, but love edifies (1 Cor. 8:1), it is extremely wicked to believe that we have the grace of Christ for our arrogance, but not for creation, although both are the gift of God: both knowledge of what we should do, and love of what we should do, so that with creative love knowledge could not puff up. For as it is written from God: He teaches man understanding (Ps. 93:10), so it is also written: love is from God (1 John 4:7).
