About the cutting of hair by those expelled from the priesthood.
Those who are guilty of canonical crimes and for this are finally and forever subjected to ejection, as well as those relegated to the place of the laity, if, voluntarily striving for correction, they reject the sin because of which they fell from grace, and completely distance themselves from it, let them cut their hair in the image of the clergy. If, of their own free will, they do not want this, then let them grow their hair like the laity, for they preferred being in the world to heavenly life.

Οἱ ἐπ᾿ ἐγκλήμασι κανονικοῖς ὑπεύθυνοι γινόμενοι, καὶ διὰ τοῦτο παντελεῖ τε καὶ διηνεκεῖ καθαιρέσει ὑποβαλλόμενοι, καὶ ἐν τῷ τῶν λαϊκῶν ἀπωθούμενοι τόπῳ· εἰ μὲν ἑκουσίως πρὸς ἐπιστροφὴν ὁρῶντες ἀθετοῦσι τὴν ἁμαρτίαν, δι᾿ ἣν τῆς χάριτος ἐκπεπτώκασι, καὶ ταύτης τέλεον ἀλλοτρίους ἑαυτοὺς καθιστῶσι, τῷ τοῦ κλήρου κειρέσθωσαν σχήματι· εἰ δὲ μὴ τοῦτο αὐθαιρέτως αἱρήσονται, καθάπερ οἱ λαϊκοί, τὴν κόμην ἐπιτρεφέτωσαν, ὡς τὴν ἐν κόσμῳ ἀναστροφὴν τῆς οὐρανίου ζωῆς προτιμήσαντες.
