Having been a disciple of Christ, a participant in the Divine Council of the Apostles, / for the Resurrection of Christ was known through unbelief, / and having assured Him with the most pure passion by touch, Thomas is the most valiant, / / and now to us ask for peace and great mercy.
Filled with the wisdom of grace/ Christ's apostle and true servant,/ crying out to You in repentance // You are my God and Lord.
Oh, holy Apostle Thomas of Christ! We pray to you: save and keep us with your prayers from the temptations of the devil and the falls of sins and ask us, servants of God (names), for help from above in times of unbelief, so that we may not stumble over a stone of temptation, but we steadily walk the saving path of the commandments of Christ, until we reach those blissful abodes of paradise. Hey, Apostle of Saviours! Do not disgrace us, but be our helper and protector in all our lives and help us to end this temporary life in a pious and godly manner, receive a Christian death and a good answer be honored at the Last Judgment of Christ; Let us glorify the magnificent name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
Oh, holy servant of God, Apostle Thomas! Having fought a good fight on earth, you received in Heaven the crown of righteousness, which the Lord has prepared for all who love Him. Moreover, looking at your holy image, we rejoice at the glorious end of your life and honor your holy memory. But you, standing before the Throne of God, accept our prayers and bring them to the All-Merciful God, to forgive us every sin and help us to stand against the wiles of the devil, so that we may be freed from sorrows, illnesses, troubles and misfortunes and all kinds of evil, let us live piously and righteously in the present world and be honored by your intercession, even though we are unworthy of you, to see good on the land of the living, glorifying the One in His saints, glorifying God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Oh, famous and glorious Apostle of Christ Thomas! When at the end of the ages God came to man and chose you as His disciples and gave you the power to heal the sick, cleanse lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons, then not for this sake, but Most of all, you clung to Christ through love, desiring to follow Him even to the point of death. For this reason, even if by Divine permission you did not see the disciples of the resurrected Savior with others, even if you denied believing this, until you put your finger into the wounds of the nails and put put your hand on His side; otherwise, the Lord fulfill the request of your heart and firmly establish your faith. Moreover, we pray to you: open the eyes of faith to us, so that what is invisible to the flesh may appear to us; give us hope for God’s condescension, so that sinful despair does not consume us; Reveal to us the bliss of love, which is as strong as death, and which alone has power over it, so that having served Christ on earth, we too may build for ourselves the shelters of Heaven and with you and all the saints Let us glorify the most honorable and magnificent name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
