Margaret EvansThe article mentions the holy children martyrs from Jastrebarsko and Sisak — such a heartbreaking story, but it’s good they are remembered with a proper service. I lit a candle for them at our parish last week.

Степан ОрловI remember reading last year about these children from Jastrebarsko - they were simply killed for being Serbian. It’s good that in Sisak they serve and remember them by name. I lit a candle for them last night.

Ruth ThomasI lit a candle for them too, right after reading about how those little ones were taken from their families in Jastrebarsko. It’s a comfort that the Church keeps their memory alive with a proper service each year. Did your parish mention any of the hymns they used?

Samuel AndersonI lit a candle for them too. Our parish used the troparion for the Holy Innocents during the service, the one that always gets me thinking about how many kids still suffer quietly today. Did they sing anything from the Serbian tradition at your end?
