Porfirios of Serbia to young officers: "Continue to walk in the heroic path of your glorious ancestors"translated

The Patriarch of Serbia Mr. Porfirios attended the promotion ceremony of the 147th class of the Military Academy and the 12th class of the Medical School of the Military Academy, in which 130 cadets were promoted to the first ranks of officers, on July 25, 2026, at the "General Jovan Miskovic" camp in Banica. The ceremony was also attended by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic.

After the ceremony, numerous young officers, surrounded by their families and friends, approached His Holiness, wishing to receive the Patriarch's blessing and immortalize this great day with a joint photograph. The Patriarch congratulated them on the successful completion of their training and their entry into the ranks of officers, sending them his paternal wish to always perform their service with honor, conscientiousness and love for their people.

Visibly excited by the meeting with the youngest officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, His Holiness emphasized that it is a special pleasure to see young people who have chosen to devote their lives to the service of the Motherland and continue to do so…
