Divine Liturgy at I.M. Agios Apostolos Silas Kavala – Memorial of the blessed Metropolitan Prokopiostranslated

The memory of the Holy Glorious Apostle Silas was celebrated with ecclesiastical splendor during the two days of July 29-30, 2026 in the Holy Monastery of the same name in Kavala. At the Great Solemn Vespers, as well as at Orthros, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Corinth Mr. Pavlos officiated, while during the Solemn Divine Liturgy the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos Mr. Stefanos, co-celebrant of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Corinth Mr. Paul, presided over the Solemn Divine Liturgy, flanked by clergy of the Holy Metropolis of Philippi and in the presence of a multitude of pious pilgrims who came to honor the Holy Apostle and participate in the worship gathering.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the holy Memorial Mass was held for the repose of the soul of the blessed Metropolitan of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos, Sir Prokopios, as a small tribute to his long and fruitful priestly and pastoral ministry.
