Troparion, tone 4

The first throne of the apostles/ and the universal teacher,/ pray to the Lord of all/ to grant universal peace// and great mercy to our souls.

Kontakion, voice 2

The stone of Christ, the stone of faith, glorifies with light,/ the disciples beyond measure,/ and with Paul the whole council of twelve members today;/ whose memory is faithful,// we glorify these who glorified.

Prayer

Master Almighty, Lord our God, having chosen His beloved disciples and apostles to preach salvation to the whole world, having given them the power to forgive sins, accept their intercessions for the generation human beings, who are also to be judged with them, and who, as Thy friends, we dare, unworthy, to bring to You in intercession, making much haste for the salvation of our souls, pray to them earnestly.

Saints, supreme apostles Peter and Paul, evangelists of Christ John the Theologian and Matthew, first-called disciple Andrei, blessed Russia by the planting of the cross, holy apostles Jacob, brother of the Lord, with another Jacob, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Simon, Judas and Matthias.

All holy chosen apostles, most noble servants of Christ, eradicators of godlessness and planters of true faith, help us with your powerful intercession before the Lord to get rid of all evil and enemy flattery, firmly preserve the Orthodox faith you have devoted, in which your intercession will not cause you to be diminished by wounds, reprimand, pestilence, or any wrath from the Creator. We will, but we will live a peaceful life here and be honored to see good on the earth of the living, glorifying the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, One in the Trinity glorified and worshiped God, now, and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
