08/02/2026 Metropolitan Joseph celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Assumption Cathedraltranslated

On August 2, on the 9th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of the holy prophet of God Elijah, Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Ivanovo.

Metropolitan Joseph read a prayer for Holy Rus' and led the praise to the Prophet Elijah.

Concelebrating with the Bishop were Hieromonk John (Pletmintsev), Hegumen Vitaly (Utkin), Hieromonk Macarius (Markish), Priest Mikhail Kupriyanov, Priest Georgy Alekseev, Protodeacon Pavel Konik, Hierodeacon Avksentiy (Fokin), Hierodeacon Andrey (Datsko) and Deacon Alexander Lityaev.

The apostle was read by Deacon Alexander Lityaev.

The Gospel was read by Protodeacon Pavel Konik.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the bishop's choir under the direction of Alexander Milan-Petrov.

Readers Ilya Novikov, Roman Tretyak, Pavel Romashenko, Andrey Filippov, Alexander Filippov, Nikolai Kalinkin and Savva Kalashnikov served as subdeacons.
