Christ is present when we ask for His help, emphasized PS Vincentiutranslated

Bishop Vincentiu of Slobozia and Călărași celebrated the Holy Liturgy on Sunday at the "Ascension of the Lord" Cathedral in Slobozia, where he highlighted the help that Christ the Savior offers to those who call on Him with faith.

The hierarch explained that man must keep his faith in God even when trials seem stronger than his powers.

"God reaches out to us to help us and lift us up from our trials," said His Holiness Father Vincentiu.

Faith overcomes fear His Eminence spoke about the boldness of the Holy Apostle Peter, who asked the Lord to call him on the water: "Peter got off the ship looking towards his Teacher and walked on the water".

The apostle walked towards Christ as long as he kept his gaze fixed on Him. Fear gripped him as he looked to the wind and the waves of the sea.

"His faith wavers when his gaze moves from the Saviour's face to the great waves and the mighty wind."

The Most Reverend Father Vincentius showed that Christ does not remain far from the one who asks for His support, but extends his hand and lifts him up.
