Pennsylvania recognizes May 19 as Greek Pontic Genocide Memorial Daytranslated

The President of the Republic Konstantinos An. Tasoulas received the President of the Pontic Federation of Greece Giorgos Varithimiadis and the President of the Panhellenic Federation of Pontic Associations Christina Sahinidou, to whom he delivered a copy of resolution 553/29.6.2026 of the House of Representatives of the State of Pennsylvania regarding the proclamation of May 19 as the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of the Pontic Greeks. Mr. Tasoulas mentioned that a few days ago in the meeting he had with the Board of Directors of the World Interparliamentary Union of Hellenism (PADEE), Mr. Steve Malagari, the elected expatriate Member of the Parliament of Pennsylvania, informed him about the resolution of the House of Representatives of the American state, which recognized May 19 as the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of the Pontus Greeks.
