The Romanian Patriarchate urges to support the people affected by the heat wavetranslated

In the context of the extremely high temperatures during this period, the Romanian Patriarchate appeals to all Dioceses to offer support to people affected by the heat wave.
Parishes and monasteries are encouraged to distribute water to those in need and allow heat-affected people to rest briefly in shaded, cool spaces. Also, church units that have medical or social services are urged to provide support, as far as possible.
At the same time, in the regions affected by drought and high temperatures, in the churches and, where possible, in the fields, the prayers "in times of drought" will be performed, asking God, the One who "gives rain on the earth and sends water to the fields" (Job 5, 10), which are useful for people and the whole creation.
Also, the Romanian Patriarchate urges all believers to show care and solidarity towards vulnerable people during this heatwave period.
