The Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East is coming to Romania for the first timetranslated

His Holiness Mar Awa III, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East, will visit Romania for the first time between August 3-7.

According to a press release, the visit takes place in the context of the 14th World Congress of Syriac Studies and the 12th International Conference of Arab Christian Studies, organized by the Levant Institute and the Romanian Academy at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest.

The Patriarch will participate in the work of the congress together with the Most Reverend Father Mar Paulus Benjamin, Bishop of Chicago and the East of the United States (Assyrian Church of the East).
