Hundreds of children participate in an event organized by the National Agency Against Trafficking in Personstranslated

Hundreds of children from all over the country are participating, between July 30-31, 2026, in the sports competition "Videle Freedom Cup - Dribble the danger! Say NO to human trafficking". The activity marks the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, established by the UN to draw attention to this form of modern slavery.
Organized by the National Agency Against Trafficking in Persons (ANITP) in partnership with Videle City Hall and with the support of the Dinamo Sports Club, the event aims to reduce the vulnerability of children to the phenomena of trafficking and exploitation, through sports activities, as well as information and education.
32 teams of children from several counties of the country will practice fair play, responsibility, team spirit and solidarity in this context and will receive messages to help them avoid becoming victims of human trafficking.
By involving the local community, public authorities and institutional partners, the event aims to strengthen the culture of prevention and increase awareness among children, young people and parents, the organizers say.
