About anathema to those who leave their children and do not nourish them, and do not, if possible, lead them to faith, but, under the pretext of hermitage, do not care about them.
If someone abandons his children and does not educate them and lead them, as far as it depends on him, to proper piety, but under the pretext of asceticism begins to neglect them, let him be anathema.

Εἴ τις καταλιμπάνοι τὰ ἑαυτοῦ τέκνα, καὶ μὴ τεκνοτροφοῖ, καὶ τὸ ὅσον ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ πρὸς θεοσέβειαν τὴν προσήκουσαν ἀνάγοι, ἀλλὰ προφάσει τῆς ἀσκήσεως ἀμελοίη, ἀνάθεμα ἔστω.
