Правило 19

The heads of churches must every day, and especially on Sundays, teach the entire clergy and people the words of piety, choosing from the Divine Scripture thoughts and judgments of truth and, moreover, without transgressing the already established limits or the traditions of the God-bearing fathers. If the word of Scripture is examined, let them explain it in accordance with what the luminaries and teachers of the Church have proposed in their writings, and in no other way, and let them be better glorified by their writings than by composing their own works, so that if they lack skill in this, they sometimes do not deviate from what is due. Through the teachings of the mentioned fathers, people receive knowledge both about objects that are excellent and worthy of choice, and about harmful and unacceptable ones, and therefore they change their lives for the better and do not become prey to the passion of ignorance, but, heeding the teaching, they encourage themselves to move away from evil and, out of fear of the punishments that threaten them, work out their salvation.
