About the prohibition of teaching the Holy Gifts to dead bodies.
Let no one give the Eucharist to the bodies of the dead (τελευτώντων), for it is written: Take, eat (Matthew 26:26), but the bodies of the dead can neither receive nor eat.

Μηδεὶς τοῖς σώμασι τῶν τελευτησάντων τῆς εὐχαριστίας μεταδιδότω. Γέγραπται γάρ· Λάβετε, φάγετε· τὰ δὲ τῶν νεκρῶν σώματα, οὐδὲ λαβεῖν δύναται, οὐδὲ φαγεῖν.
