"Faith is the encounter between man's powerlessness and God's power", said Sunday the Most Reverend Father Nectarie de Bogdania, the Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Chisinau, at the Parish "Sfântul Cuvios Vasile de la Poiana Mărului" in Orhei, Republic of Moldova.

His Eminence explained the evangelical pericope of the 9th Sunday after Pentecost, showing that every person goes through trials and moments of insecurity.

That's right, Father Nectarie said it very simply and truthfully. It is only when you feel utterly helpless that you see God at work. I was also happy that he encouraged the works at the church in Orhei, I know how much he struggles with the renovation.

Yes, that's exactly what I've felt many times - when you reach the end of your strength, only then do you see how God takes over everything. I loved how he said the storms don't go away right away, but you get strength to go through them with Him. Father Sergiu is right, unity and sacrifice are clearly visible in the works from Orhei.
