Lord God of our salvation, Son of the living God, carried on cherubs, above all beginning and power and strength and dominion: Thou art great and terrible above all those who are around You: You are the One who created the earth in Your strength, and straightened the world in Your wisdom: You shook the heavenly places from its foundations, but its pillars are motionless: speak to the sun, and it will not shine, but seal the stars: rebuke the sea, and dry it up: whose wrath melts away the principalities and powers, and the stone is cut away from You. You have destroyed the gates of brass, and you have broken the chains of iron: you have bound the strong one, and you have torn his vessels in pieces: you have cast down the tormentor with your cross, and You attracted the serpent with the bait of Your inhumanity, and bound You with the chains of darkness in Tartarus.
For the Lord Himself, put away and put into flight every devilish act, and every satanic presence, every slander of the opposing and overriding forces from this blood, and from those possessed by him, and from those who go around under him; preserve all that is in this house, delivering them from the fear of the night, and the arrows that fly in the days, from the things that pass in darkness, from the clot and the demon of the midday. For You, God, are my strength, the mighty possessor, the prince of peace, the Father of the age to come, and Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom: and to You alone is the kingdom, and the power, and glory, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
