The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos, Mr. Andreas, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Virgin in Mastaba, Heraklion on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The sept Pastor appropriately spoke to the congregation and performed the four-day memorial service of his blessed cousin, Aikaterinas Mylonakis nee Nanakis.

It’s good that Vladyka Andrei served and remembered his relative. Prayer for the departed is the most important thing we can do. Kingdom of Heaven to Katerina.

Thanks for sharing this. It's nice that Metropolitan Andreas served the Liturgy right there in Mastaba and then did the 40-day memorial for his cousin Aikaterini. Prayer for the departed really does matter. May she rest in peace.
