On the Day of the Baptism of Rus', a conversation between a priest and pupils was held at the social rehabilitation center "Scarlet Sails"translated

On July 28, 2026, in the day care department of the social rehabilitation center for minors “Scarlet Sails”, the clergyman of the Church of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love and Sophia in Novokuznetsk, Priest Vyacheslav Tyunin, held an educational conversation with pupils on the topic “The Baptism of Rus'”.

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce children to the history of the Baptism of Rus' and its significance in the life of Orthodox Christians. The priest noted the importance of this event for the formation of the spiritual and cultural traditions of our people.

Father Vyacheslav spoke about Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich, known as Vladimir the Red Sun, about his life and rule of the state, about how Prince Vladimir led an entire people to Baptism, uniting them in one faith. The Baptism of Rus' became the beginning of a new spiritual history of our Fatherland. From that moment on, temples and monasteries began to be built, education and culture developed. Prince Vladimir canonized as the baptist of Rus'.

During the conversation, materials provided by the Synodal Missionary Department were used.

The event contributed not only to the expansion of historical knowledge among children, but also to the strengthening of their spiritual values.
